SKI TRIP
2006 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ GROUP PICTURE
AT BOTTOM OF PAGE From Sam: (Tuesday night) OK, just sent you a few more pictures. It snowed well into the night (I'd say about 15" or more of powder since we arrived). Then (as you can see) this morning it was bright and warm. We will drive home on dry road, and we're still at the bumps and bruises level. So far…. (knocking on wood) no ER visits. I missed the group photo on the mountain this time due to a one hour and five minute lift line. Sorry. There were lots of cameras on the mountain, so I'll make sure we get a collection together for you. Pray for the drive home, but the trip has been wonderful and the skiing unbelievable. (cathye's note: new pics are posted...see link below) (Monday night) OK, first of all the injury report was incorrect - it wasn't even minor. As far as I can tell, we're still in good shape 100%. (of course, bumps and bruises don't count). It snowed all day today - tons. We're enjoying it a bunch. I didn't get any pictures of skiers today, but there are lots of digitals up here, and I have everyone's promise to send copies when we get home. I couldn't get them onto my laptop, sorry. Joy took photos from last night's devo - that's where we tell ski stories - so I uploaded them. (cathye adds: Prayers, please, for clear roads and safe travel as they begin their return trip.) (Sunday night) First of all, internet connectivity here is the pits. I'm waiting in line at a coffee shop to get online - Starbucks doesn't even have a hotspot. I just uploaded the photos. The trip was blissfully uneventful. We had near blizzard conditions today, one injury, not serious. Advise the parents that it's not their kid, both parents are here with us. Repeat, not serious. The snow is so thick we've cancelled snow bunnies - first time in over a decade. We're having a great time and despite the internet access and one very grumpy shuttle driver, it's been fun and the accommodations are superb. We've taken some photos of the condos as well and a fairly decent snowball fight. March 10-15,
