Loving God purely, loving others unconditionally, and selflessly telling the world about God characterizes the Children’s Ministry at Sierra Vista. Our goal is to provide every child who enters our sanctuary and classrooms with a foundation of faith in Jesus Christ. We believe in Proverbs 22:6, which says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” This belief stems from the hope that, while children learn about and grow in God, they will always remember his love and the love of the church. Please join us, in the many activities listed below, for purposeful discussions and energetic activities designed to help children grow in their relationship with others and God.

Every child who participates in activities at Sierra Vista UMC should have a completed and current permission form on file in the Church Office.

Sunday Worship

As the Psalmist wrote, “…Children are a gift from the Lord” (Psalm 127:3a). At Sierra Vista, we embrace this notion and strive daily to provide entertaining and stimulating opportunities to help children develop strong and personal relationships with God.

 Get Involved
Many opportunities beyond Sunday mornings are available to both children and families for becoming an engaged member of the Body of Christ.

Sierra Vista hosts many family and children events throughout the year. Mark your calendars!

 Summer Fun
Summer is usually a time for kids to relax and enjoy a slower schedule, but, most summers, the kids at Sierra Vista are exceptionally active working for the Kingdom. They do everything from deliver meals to the elderly to help build low-income housing to read to young children.
